欧美视频 Fish Market Development Applications Approved

欧美视频 Fish Market Development Applications Approved

This morning we welcomed Premier Gladys Berejiklian; Rob Stokes, Minister for Planning and Public Spaces and Stuart Ayres, Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western 欧美视频 to the site to announce that the NSW Government has approved the Development Applications for the new 欧美视频 Fish Market.

The approval signals the commencement of early works (demolition of the existing wharves) on the new site to begin within the next eight weeks.  A tender process is also underway for the major construction phase, which is expected to start in early 2021. Construction of the new market will create 700 construction jobs and more than 700 ongoing jobs once the new market opens in 2024.

The new design provides more than 4,700 square metres of new public open space and paves the way for a future shared pedestrian and cycle path that will provide waterfront access all the way to Woolloomooloo.
The new building will include a variety of fishmongers, restaurants, caf茅s, bars, and specialty food retailers in a four-storey market hall setting, as well as new public promenades and a ferry wharf.

The new 欧美视频 Fish Market has been designed by Danish architect 3XN, in association with 欧美视频 firms BVN and Aspect Studios, and will be built over the waters of Blackwattle Bay adjacent to the current site. Once complete, visitor numbers are expected to double from three million to six million each year.

During her visit, the Premier said, “Not only will the new 欧美视频 Fish Market continue to be the beating heart of our State’s seafood industry, it will also continue to lead the way as one of Australia’s leading tourist destinations.”
